1999年參加首屆跨世紀書畫大展賽創作論文
中國書畫源遠流長，在未有文字之前早有繪畫，上古時代黃河流域的先民利用岩石壁上畫出了許多岩畫作品留存下來。可惜歷代史學家却未列入記載，致使上古先民經營出來的偉大藝術，一直湮没在崇山峻嶺中，任其風化漫壞，直到二十世紀八十年代才被發現，登上藝壇，若非歐洲及非洲岩畫不斷陸續出現被重視的岩畫風潮吹向東方的中國，可能中國岩畫仍然埋藏不為國人注意。
遠古時代的中國先民創造了不少的岩畫藝術，比起歐洲、非洲岩畫豪不遜色，甚至有過之無不及之美感，從來史學家對中國上古史總認為是提不出實証的神話，但岩畫的出現不但填補了此段空白的歷史記錄，且可增進瞭解先民生活的情形。先民的藝術成就代表了上古中國藝術，先民用岩畫寫日記，還能留存至今日，是非常難得極為珍貴的歷史文物，其所表現流露出來的是中華民族的精神潛藏的特性。曾經有位荷蘭漢學家(R.H.VanGulik)高羅佩談到中國文化生命力時說：「每當從中國歷史背景來研究中國問題時，都會對兩個突出的特點感到震驚，那就是中華民族驚人的恢復力和中國文化的強大內聚力」。
高氏的指出在原始先民岩畫中已可找到，其畫風是古拙樸實，自然不造作，粗獷豪邁的特性，雄偉壯觀富有強靱的民族性，代表了我國上古藝術特徵，因此歷代各朝書畫所表現的正是當代國力盛衰的表象及內涵，如盛唐時代有泱泱大國的體制，同時也出現了大氣磅礴的【大唐書法】為後世所推崇。清代出土文物包括甲骨、彝鼎器物甚多考古之風鼎盛，因此占卜文字、周金文、古文古字各體書法出現，歷代書法集結在清末展示。那麼民國以後至今將要跨入廿一世紀，我們要以何樣書體來代表，只待大家集思廣益來研究探討，我覺得先聖先賢己把各種參考資料材料交給我們，用我們的智慧重新組合再創創造新的藝術比較容易，又不失其根的文化傳承。(續待)
民國以來出現了不少書畫名家，各呈特色影響力可謂無遠弗屆，我們可以肯定其成就但創新的風格未具有突破，格局小變化不大尚未見到大革新的書法風格，反觀日本韓國求變創新的思潮，風起雲湧的熱潮，使人刮目相看，我們仍然保守停留在科舉時代的傳統遺風，甚至還有【鳥光方】的老觀念來論書，隨著時代潮流的轉變，電腦科技的進步，毛筆書寫的實用價值已降低，但欣賞價值仍高，早已列入純粹藝術範圍，幾乎與繪畫並駕，即將跨入二十一世紀，書法藝術也要躋身於國際藝壇，更應佔上主流的地位，求新求變是必然的趨勢，若要使書法成為中國獨門特有的藝術。則不能全然用區域性的文化當評審標準因此延續幾千年來之書法結合文學的作品，僅漢語系的文化人才能欣賞，非漢語系背景下之人未必認同。若能朝向純屬書藝的境界，只要保有發祥地之筆墨工具，存有漢字古今書體基本造型原理，揮灑出東方精神作品就可認定是「中國書法藝術」。這便是我個人【承古新花】的下限標準。以上便是我個人小小見解對【世界書藝觀】的想法，敬請各先進大師指正。謝謝！
